MHK raises concerns of people losing chance of new homes

Developer blames Coronavirus pandemic for delays

Prospective buyers at the new Dandara housing estate in Ballasalla could miss out on their new home because of delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Reayrt Mie developer is blaming a shortage of labour and materials.

It has returned the £1,000 plot reservation fee for houses due to be completed after 30 June.

Before that date some people have been given as little as two weeks to pay a 10% deposit to secure a home.
