Member keen to ensure standard of government workers doesn't drop
An MHK is seeking assurances the quality of new starters in the civil service won't drop now that GCSEs aren't a requirement for all positions.
Arbory, Castletown & Malew member Jason Moorhouse warns those hired now could have key roles within the Government's workforce in 10 to 20 years.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas will be asked what evidence there is to suggest lowering the entry requirements for job applicants will not have an impact of the quality of work.
Mr Moorhouse believes the impact of this change must be carefully considered:
Assisted Dying Bill still on track, says mover
Period Products Bill 'changed drastically' but core principles remain, says MHK
