MHK to quiz ministers on Manx APD decision

Says following UK could create tourism opportunities

The Isle of Man could miss out on tourism revenue if Air Passenger Duty isn't reduced.

That's the opinion of an Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK.

Last month the UK Chancellor slashed the duty by half on domestic flights between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

It means passengers will pay £13 in tax on a return flight or £6.50 one way.

Tomorrow (9 November), in the House of Keys, Jason Moorhouse will quiz the treasury and enterprise ministers about plans to replicate that decision here:
