MHKs called to listen to youth on climate change

Student walk-outs from midday

MHKs have been called upon to listen to the Island's youth on climate change.

Students across the Isle of Man are walking out of lessons today (15 March) to protest the lack of action by the Manx government.

Some are protesting outside government offices in Douglas, while others will be at Tywnald Hill.

Both protest take place from midday.

Environment Minister Geoffrey Boot has welcomed the political involvement of the Island's young people.

15-year-old Ballakermeen pupil, Mitzi Danielson-Kaslick, says it's in politicians' interest to hear what they have to say.
