GP politician seeks liberalisation of law
A GP turned politician says law on medicinal cannabis use needs revisiting – and claims it's the only drug that works for some patients who're using it illegally.
Dr Alex Allinson says the current system is outdated, and doesn't take into account advances in removing negative psychoactive aspects of the Class B drug.
Cannabis is already legally prescribed to MS sufferers in the form of a spray called Sativex to alleviate pain.
The Chief Constable's annual report stated there'll be a 'rethink' of how the force will act on it in future.
