Milestone for Army Reserve forces on Island

New centre opened on Lord Street

It's a milestone for the army reserve forces on the Island today (Wed 30th).

A new Isle of Man Army Reserve Centre will be opened this evening at the old Hanover Street School on the corner of Lord Street in Douglas.

It follows an active recruitment campaign during the summer months.

Head of Engagement for 42nd Infantry Brigade and Headquarters Northwest, Lieutenant Colonel Rosie Stone, says she's delighted how things have progressed over the last few months.

An open evening was held at the the new centre this evening from 6.30 to 7.30.
