Boakesey Closs recorded the show in June 2022
A Manx resident will appear on BBC Mastermind this evening. (9 January)
Boakesey Closs recorded the show - that's known to be one of the toughest quizzes on the television - in June last year but has been sworn to secrecy.
As a child she would compete with her mother and says it was a lifelong ambition to be part of the programme.
However, despite suffering numerous 'mini-strokes', she said she was determined not to let that stop her.
Manx Radio's Christian Jones caught up with Boakesey to find out more:
The programme will air on BBC 2 from 7:30pm.
