Four secondary schools have sent entire year groups home this week
The education minister says it's her objective to maximise the number of children in face to face education and minimise disruption to learning.
Julie Edge's pledge comes in a week when four secondary schools have had to ask entire year groups to stay at home due to a lack of teaching staff.
Today Ballakermeen High School had 30 teachers absent and next week St Ninian's High School has warned children's education will be disrupted.
Ms Edge says it's up to the schools to sort out their contingency plans:
TT Race Week to get underway with single Superstock race
Noble's 'the busiest major trauma centre in Britain' during TT
Southern 100 signs suspected stolen
