Government departments urged to 'innovate'
A senior government minister says it's time the Island faced up to 'uncomfortable truths' about the economy, rather than blaming the data.
Questions have been raised in recent weeks about the way the Cabinet Office collects and distributes information, after a reported 'cliff edge' drop in visitor numbers.
A review into research methods has been launched.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas says the public should not be concerned about similar studies, such as the census or inflation figures - which have also painted a worrying picture in recent years.
