Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood says she fully understands the anger and frustration felt by people who missed flights as a result of delays caused by weekend problems with security equipment at Ronaldsway Airport.
The issues arose during a scheduled shutdown of the system.
Queues of passengers waiting to pass through the security area stretched to the rear of the Oasis Cafe, with some missing flights as a result.
Minister Haywood told Manx Radio what went wrong:
