Organisers promise far cry from olden days
A once-popular highlight of the Manx summer season is returning to the calendar.
Miss Isle of Man 2017 has just been launched.
It's been set up by a former Miss Isle of Man, Susan Tummon, and Collette Wylde.
The event will take place on Saturday August 5th at the Villa Marina.
Collette says the revamp is nothing like a stereotypical 'glamour' event - and more about creating an opportunity for young women on the Island to work with twelve local charities.
