It's been confirmed by police that a woman who's gone missing in the west of the Island is suffering from cancer.
Cathy Pridham disappeared at the weekend.
Her car was found at Niarbyl on Sunday morning but there was no sign of Mrs Pridham. Officers believe she had entered the sea somewhere close by.
The lifeboat and coastguard will continue their search at low tide this evening.
Mrs Pridham's family is thanking members of the public for their help and concern, but police say the search should be left to properly trained personnel.
However, anyone who may spot anything that could be related to the search should contact police headquarters on 631 212.
Sergeant Gavin Callow is from the Western Neighbourhood Policing Team
