Juan Turner moves business to UK
A Tynwald member has defended comments highly critical of government policies he made in an online article.
Juan Turner MLC, who's approaching the end of his second term in the Manx parliament's upper house, raised a host of issues in his Facebook article.
In a wide-ranging attack, he hit out at so-called stealth taxes, government bureaucracy, the rating system and the size of the civil service.
In the article, Mr Turner claimed he'd been the victim of 'malicious harassment' by government officials - and said he wouldn't recommend living in the Island, due to the cost of living.
He went on to suggest the Isle of Man could secure funding by having an MP in Westminster - and said he was moving some his own business to the UK.
