Tynwald unanimously approves motion to prioritise strategy going forward
Over two years since Tynwald passed the Isle of Man Homelessness Strategy, an MLC has received unanimous backing in the Island's parliament for it to be prioritised going forward.
It means work will now be done to develop the document and introduce legislation into the branches by June next year (2027).

A social worker for many years, Kirstie Morphet says she specifically put herself forward for the role to push for statutory frameworks that ensure a legal right to housing.
She says she hopes the work drafting the legislation will not stagnate after this year's general election:
