Scrutineer given second government position
Taking on a second departmental role within government won't compromise the scrutiny work of an MLC.
That's from Marlene Maska, who's accepted a position with the Department of Infrastructure.
The move is at odds with a Tynwald debate in late 2017, where it was agreed that members of Legislative Council should not take on more than one role within government.
Mrs Maska says it isn't a decision she's taken lightly:
Steam Packet praises passengers and crew following 'significantly rougher' than normal crossing
MiCard alternatives 'must be better than what we already have'
Last chance for central residents to respond to 20mph consultation
Spitfire passenger flights to launch from Ronaldsway
