Newly-elected LegCo member replaces Peter Greenhill
MLC Peter Reid has been appointed vice-chair of the Manx Utilities Authority, following the departure of his predecessor, Peter Greenhill, who stood down at the last Legislative Council election.
The appointment was confirmed in Tynwald after Chief Minister Alfred Cannan moved a motion in accordance with Schedule 1 of the Electricity Act 1996. The motion read:
"That, in accordance with Schedule 1 of the Electricity Act 1996, Tynwald approves the appointment by the Council of Ministers of Mr Peter Reid MLC to the position of vice-chair of the Manx Utilities Authority."
The motion received unanimous support.
