More interviews heard by murder trial Jury

A jury this afternoon heard interviews between police and a Castletown man accused of murder.

Forty-six-year-old Ian Anderson denies murdering 60-year-old Neil Roberts from Ballabeg.

Mr Roberts's body was found by police at Mr and Mrs Anderson's Castletown home in late 2013.

The prosecution called Detective Constable Nick Haxby to the witness box who read the interviews between himself and Mr Anderson from December 2013.

DC Nick Haxby finished reading the extensive interviews with Linda Watts, prosecuting, reading the part of Mr Anderson.

Mrs Watts called her next witness to the stand, Detective Constable Emily Butler.

Mrs Watts showed the jury a chart of telephone calls made leading up to the night of the alleged murder from the beginning of 2013.

Dawn Jones for the defence also began cross examining DC Butler.

Deemster Montgomerie adjourned the court for the day, DC Butler will return to give more evidence tomorrow.

The trial resumes at 10 o'clock in the morning at Douglas Courthouse.
