'More political will' needed to support teachers, union says

NASUWT thinks gov't must ask itself 'far-reaching questions'

There needs to be 'more political will' to better support teachers on the Isle of Man financially.

That's according to a teaching union whose members recently voted heavily in favour of industrial action over pay and conditions.

84 per cent of NASUWT members who took part in a recent ballot were in support of strike action, and 94 per cent in favour of action short of a strike.

The ballot was over a two per cent pay offer from DESC.
