Chief minister explains absence of replacement secondary school from Budget
The chief minister has pledged to bring a 'more refined' plan for the replacement of Castle Rushen High School to Tynwald before the end of this administration.
Alfred Cannan confirmed the project had been left out of this year's Budget because the final tender price is not yet known.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture previously committed to finalising costs by early April, with a view to starting work in the summer.
Mr Cannan says the omission of the school from this year's Pink Book doesn't mean the work has been delayed:
