A sub for launch
A submarine was launched at Douglas Marina yesterday afternoon (13 Aug).
Thought to be the only craft of its kind on the Isle of Man, Casper II is the creation of Manxman Graeme Bayliss, a project he began nine years ago after a bet.
The vessel was crane-lifted from the Tongue boatyard into the water, in what was a third trial at sea for the Foxdale-based submersible.
Admitting adjustments to the weight is still needed, Mr Bayliss says She fared a lot better in this outing than last time.
