More than £1000 spent on chief minister's London visit

Alfred Cannan met with political counterparts

Taxpayers have footed a £1,000 trip to London which saw the chief minister meet with a number of his political counterparts.

Alfred Cannan, and two civil servants, travelled to the UK capital between 30 November and 2 December.

Accommodation – in a Premier Inn and at the Wellington Hotel – cost £678 and travel costs were just over £470. Meal expenditure isn't yet available.

The trip involved meetings with diplomatic contacts including MP Michael Gove and Ireland's Ambassador to the UK Adrian O'Neill.
