Decay, accident and orthodontic treatment among reasons for treatment
More than 500 children on the Isle of Man have needed teeth extracted over the last 12 months.
Figures published by the Department of Health and Social Care show 87 children had 514 teeth removed by the Community Dental Services, while 444 youngsters had a total of 598 extractions as part of General Dental Practice.
The DHSC says the extractions will have taken place for a number of reasons, including decay, accident or injury and orthodontic requirements.
The details have been released following a Tynwald written question from Douglas North MHK David Ashford.
