Public thanked for 'understanding' of road closure
A motorist suffered back and neck injuries following a crash in Douglas today.
Emergency services were called to the Old Castletown Road just after 1pm.
Firefighters helped remove the casualty from the vehicle through an 'assisted walkout'.
Crews then remained on scene for around 30 minutes to make the car safe.
Members of the public have been thanked for their ‘understanding and patience’ during the road closure.
The Old Castletown Road has now reopened.
