The Mountain Road has been closed between Ramsey Hairpin and the Bungalow until 5pm.
The Poortown Road from its junction with Ballig Bridge to its junction with the Glen Moar Road has also been closed until 5pm.
Kirk Michael residents wishing to travel south or to Douglas are advised to use the Peel coast road via Peel.
Sulby Claddagh, from its junctions with the Sulby Glen Rd and Ginger Hall, has been shut until 9am on New Year's Eve.
The scheduled 8.45am sailing from Douglas to Heysham departed at 10am.
This afternoon’s 2.15pm return has been delayed as a result until 3.30pm.
Passengers are asked to check-in by 2pm.
