MSPCA warns dog owners not to be complacent

Don't take safety of animals for granted, charity urges

The MSPCA says dog owners on the Island should not assume that they will never be targeted by dog thieves.

The problem is becoming acute in the UK, as the price of puppies has soared during the Coronavirus pandemic, with popular breeds fetching thousands of pounds.

Liam Rice of the animal charity says it would be sensible for dog owners here, not to take the safety of their animals for granted.
