New airport scanners could be installed if passengers want them

Ronaldsway not required to have new equipment coming to major UK airports in 2024

New scanners - which would allow airport passengers to travel with larger quantities of liquid in their hand luggage - could be brought in at Ronaldsway if it's what people want.

That's from the infrastructure minister who says the Isle of Man Airport won't be required to install the high tech 3D scanners when they're brought in at major UK airports in 2024.

The equipment would be expensive and Chris Thomas warns funds are tight.

But he says other checks could be needed if the scanners aren't purchased:
