New appeal for witnesses to promenade fight

Police are continuing to investigate an alleged assault on Douglas promenade.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, April 3 between the Hilton Hotel and Palace Road, and the man who was injured suffered bruises and abrasions and was detained in hospital with concussion for two days.

Officers want to speak to anyone who saw a fight outside the Spar Shop in the Castlemona Arcade, at about 3.55am that day.

It involved around five men and it's thought the victim was injured there.

Anyone with information is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
