Home enthusiasts nurture hundreds
Birdwatchers and animal lovers are being sought to help a newly-established local charity find its feet.
Manx Wild Bird Aid cares for and nurtures hundreds of vulnerable species at a home aviary in Castletown.
Last year, a handful of volunteers cared for 325 injured and orphaned animals, before releasing many of them back into the wild.
The membership is hoping to raise awareness of the plight of Manx birds, and the threats posed by excessive waste and environmental damage.
