The Department of Home Affairs has started advertising the post of chief fire officer.
Brian Draper, who currently holds the post, is due to retire after eight years in charge of the Island’s fire and rescue service.
The department says it’s looking for somebody with at least three year’s strategic management experience to take over the role.
Interviews for the post are expected to begin in January next year.
