New colouring book celebrates Manx Good Friday tradition

Children and schools receive copies from Culture Vannin

A new colouring book which teaches children about a Manx tradition has been handed out to the Island's primary schools.

'Flitter Dance: A Manx Colouring Book' is themed around long-standing Good Friday customs on the Isle of Man.

Manx artist Jay Cover has designed the book using work he originally created for an exhibition in Japan.

James Franklin from Culture Vannin, which has distributed the book with the help of the education department, says it's a resource for everyone:

James Franklin spoke to William King:

The music in that reports from the Manx Folk awards in 2017. You can watch that video, and learn more about the tradition, here.
