The new Deputy Speaker of the House of Keys says he’s honoured to have been elected to the post.
East Douglas member Phil Braidwood yesterday (Tuesday) received eight votes from his fellow MHKs to top the poll, ahead of Rushen member Quintin Gill, East Douglas colleague Brenda Cannell and Onchan MHK Peter Karran.
Mr Karran had been acting Deputy Speaker since the last General Election.
