New dyslexia policy on the way

Education Minister Peter Karran says if cuts to pre-school education aren’t made, more children may suffer from undiagnosed dyslexia.

In Tynwald today he faced questions from Middle MHK Howard Quayle about the Island’s dyslexia policy.

In response, Mr Karran said a new policy was currently out for consultation and people had until May 11 to have their say.

But he warned not saving cash in nursery education could derail attempts to tackle the problem.
