Current head to step down at the end of academic year
The new headteacher of Scoill Phurt Le Moirrey has been appointed.
Simon Murphy will take charge of the school from at the start of the next academic year.
Mr Murphy is originally from the Isle of Man who has worked in the UK and further afield.
He says: “I am passionate about school culture, supportive student and parental relationships and ensuring that education celebrates local culture, heritage and traditions, whilst preparing pupils to be positive contributors to society.”
Current head Ange Callaghan has been leading the 168-pupil strong school since 2016, but retires in summer.
