New lifesaving equipment for ambulance service

There's a better chance of surviving a cardiac arrest as the Isle of Man's Ambulance Service recieves new advanced equipment.

Thirteen devices known as the LUCAS have been bought by six local charities who raised almost £120,000.

The machine performs Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation with the precise pressure and timing needed to revive someone.

It will be in use across the Island from April, 1st.
