Nine sites officially designated MNRs
The introduction of new Marine Nature Reserves (MNRs) around the Manx coast could benefit conservation and fishermen in time - according to the Environment Minister.
The designation of nine new sites has helped the Isle of Man meet its commitment, under the United Nations Convention on Biodiversity, to conserve at least 10% of its coastal and marine areas by 2020.
It follows on from the creation of the Island's first nature reserve, in Ramsey Bay, in 2011.
