John Skinner become capital's municipal leader
The Island's capital has a new mayor.
Councillor John Skinner was installed in a special meeting of Douglas Borough Council yesterday afternoon.
The former fire officer will replace outgoing mayor Sara Hackman.
He was elected unopposed in Murrays Ward during last month's local authority elections.
The Mayor says he'd like to see the council making more effort to engage with young people:
