Manx Blind Welfare Society seeks more public awareness
New ways to help Islanders with sight problems tackle social distancing have been introduced by the Manx Blind Welfare Society.
After speaking to some of its 500 members, high-viz yellow tabards and credit card-sized badges have been produced by the charity, for those who choose to wear them.
It follows instances in the UK, where some visually impaired people have been abused by members of the public, ignorant of their condition.
Resource Officer for the charity, Dave Wilson, says public awareness isn't broad enough.
