Lines Ronaldsway service with UK Met Office
Manx weather warnings will take on a new form from next year.
Ronaldsway Met Office will introduce a new system to improve accuracy - revising existing colour-coded warnings in place for the last 10 years.
Severity forecast levels provide advance guidance to Infrastructure and emergency service workers on potential weather disruption.
From 3rd January, a 'Weather Watch' advisory anticipates an 'Amber' or 'Red' weather event, while 'YELLOW' indicates people should be aware of bad weather.
'AMBER' has people on alert for disruption, and finally, a 'RED' warning puts the Island on a severe level alert.
It's to bring the Island into line with best practice at the UK Met Office.
