LVA concerned how certain sectors will cope in coming months
Newly-elected MHKs are being called on to provide urgent support for hospitality businesses which could be facing financial struggles this winter.
VAT rates for certain catering supplies and admissions to certain shows and attractions has gone up to 12.5%.
It had been temporarily reduced to 5% to assist businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Licensed Victuallers Association says there are serious concerns for how the likes of pubs, restaurants and hairdressers will survive over the coming months.
The LVA's chair is Geoff Joughin, who also runs the Albert Hotel in Douglas.
