New role for Rosemary Penn

The charity which supports local people who have been affected by crime in the Isle of Man has a new patron.

Victim Support has appointed Rosemary Penn, MBE, who is also chairman of the Financial Supervision Commission, a well-known tribunal chairman and a Justice of the Peace.

She says she has seen the consequences of crime through work with police and courts, and the cause is very close to her heart.

Victim Support manager Paula Gelling says Ms Penn will be a fantastic ambassador for the charity, which has seen its volume of work rise considerably in the past 18 months.

The free service is funded with assistance from the Department of Home Affairs and public fund-raising events.
