The new man in charge of planning and building control says he is relishing the task.
West Douglas MHK Chris Thomas has been appointed to the role by Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne.
Juan Turner MLC will oversee local authorities, while Mr Gawne will retain responsibility for Ports and Waste Management.
Mr Thomas, however, won't be chairman of planning but he doesn’t believe that will alter the effectiveness of his post.
