Shopkeepers and cafe owners in Douglas who use 'A' boards to advertise outside their premises are going to be subject to much tougher rules from now on.
The borough council has taken over responsibility for every aspect of their use, and is promising to come down hard on anybody who doesn't comply new regulations.
Leader of the Council David Christian says there are too many boards in the main retail areas of the town, and the aim is to tidy the place up:
Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
Review of taxi fares extended to assess impact of Middle East conflict
