McGuinness gets a first look

A new video game showcasing the Island's most famous fortnight has got the seal of approval from two of its riders.

Developers Kylotonn Games and Bigben Interactive are adding finishing touches to Isle of Man TT: Ride on the Edge, which due for release on Playstation, Xbox and PC towards the end of 2017.

They're promising a highly realistic experience for fans, designed using cutting-edge laser scans of the Mountain Course itself.

Motorcycle blog RoadRacingCore reports riders John McGuinness and Steve Mercer were impressed by an exclusive test demo of the game at the Sefton Hotel, Douglas a month ago.

It's said to include 30 bikes with real-life playable riders, as well as minute details from marshals and signage, to splattering bugs and the famous 'pat on the shoulder' at the Grandstand start line.
