New Year's dips 'make such a difference' for Manx charities

Beach Buddies and Breast Cancer Now team up for Douglas event

Supporting Manx charities by taking part in New Year's Day Dips can make 'such a difference' to the Island's voluntary groups.

That's the message from Beach Buddies founder Bill Dale as the coastal cleaning charity teams up for Breast Cancer Now for the Douglas event.

Organisers are hoping for a record-breaking crowd after around 280 took part in last year's dip.

The Douglas dip gets underway at midday on New Year's Day opposite the Queen's Hotel.
