Retail giant Next could be set to be the latest shop to leave the Island.
Manx Radio understands the clothing and homeware store has not renewed its lease in Strand Street.
The brand has had a presence in the capital for decades.
Staff have this morning (30 April) confirmed to customers in-store that whilst no closing date has been set, it will shut this summer.
Manx Radio has contacted Next plc, the Department for Enterprise, Douglas City Centre Management and the building's owner, Kelproperties, for comment.
