
Vandals with a taste for off-road driving have caused extensive damage to a fairway at Castletown Golf Course.
Deep ruts and holes appeared on the infamous 5th fairway known as the road hole, after a driver span across the grass at the golf links overnight on Friday (11/12 Jan).
Green keepers have been working to fill holes in the ploughed-up sodden turf with sand and the course and the hole remain playable.
Golf club spokesman Malcolm Lambert says the fairway's been left in quite a mess:
