1am entry limit lifted
Night time revellers will now be able to enter pubs and clubs as late as they like.
Changes to the rules mean a nationwide 1am limit on entering licensed premises is being lifted, initially for a six month trial period.
It follows discussions between government, the police, and entertainment industry figures.
The limit was originally introduced to stem the number of punters wandering between venues in the early hours.
