Nine out of 10 carers don't seek help

87 per cent don't access available services

Up to nine out of 10 carers don't seek help made available to them.

The Social Attitudes Survey 2016, released earlier this week, measured the views and lifestyles of over 2,000 Island residents - the biggest of its kind on the Island.

Among the findings, was some 87 per cent of those who look after a loved one don't access any support from government or charities.

Hannah Murphy from Crossroads says the group currently supports over 500 families - but help is still out there for those who need it:
