There will be no appeal lodged against the three year jail term imposed on a Peel man who caused the death of a 14 year-old girl.
Last week, 18-year-old Craig Bridgewater was sent to prison for causing the death, by dangerous driving, of Lucia Porter of Onchan.
She was one of eight teenagers in a car, driven by Bridgewater, when it crashed on the Switchback Road near Peel in March.
Despite criticising his 'lack of remorse' and believing the speed issue was not fully tackled during the court process, Lucia’s grieving mother Julie says it’s time to give the Bridgewater family some closure.
She says the tragedy has touched many people and would not wish anyone to have the endure the ordeal her own family has faced.
