School buses will be operating as normal at the start of term on Monday.
The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure says it has not received formal notification from the bus drivers' union Unite about a plan to strike next week, and seven days' notice needs to be given.
After drivers walked out for three days in the run-up to Christmas it was rumoured further action would be called to coincide with schools reopening for the winter term.
Unite and the department remain at loggerheads over proposed changes to drivers' terms and conditions, which Bus Vannin wants to introduce to make £300,000 of savings.
